To better address the learning needs of our clients NIS has recently set up an office in Shanghai, China and Brisbane, Australia. Having an office in Shanghai enables NIS to better manage the transition Chinese students into the New Zealand educational environment and the office in Brisbane assists in consolidating NIS pathways into many Australian Universities. Future development of NIS is expected to involve building stronger links with market representatives in Thailand and Vietnam.

Head Tutor
Campus: Papamoa, Tauranga
We are
looking to appoint a Head Tutor. As a Head Tutor
you will be responsible for the operation and effective delivery of
all educational programmes.This will include:

Reviewing & developing new programmes in line with funding and market demand.

Monitoring student numbers and staffing resources

Operational management of academic staff including appointment, orientation, supervision, ongoing training and quality assurance

Ensuring all aspect of student assessment are in accordance with appropriate academic standards and NZQA regulatory requirements.

Be responsive to the Treaty of Waitangi
To be successful for this
position, you must possess Master’s degree and at least 5 year
teaching experience. You must have
a good knowledge about NZQA requirements for the courses. Certificate
in Adult education (Level 5) and workplace assessment unit standard
4098 will be an advantage.
You will also have outstanding leadership
skills, coupled with exemplary communication skills and the ability to
effectively problem solve. Your ability to establish rapport with
staff, teachers, student and other stake holders will prove to be
essential so too your ability to work under pressure in a changing
environment.
